Our company was recently recognized as one of Central Florida’s Largest Women-Owned Businesses. Published by the Orlando Business Journal, the list ranked NSMotif number 10 out of 40.

The article compiles a list of businesses that are at least 51% woman-owned in Central Florida, including Lake, Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties, based on their 2016 gross revenue. Independently-run and female owned, NSMotif is a countertop fabrication company located in Sanford that was founded in 2008 by Karen Roe. Placed at number 10, NSMotif boasts $6 million in revenue last year.

“It’s truly an honor to be recognized by such a prestigious publication,” said Karen. “This ranking solidifies all the hard work we’ve poured into our business over the years. We’ve always been committed to providing our customers with top quality service as we help them through the countertop selection and installation process, and our sales are reflecting that commitment,” she explained.

A Passion for Countertops

Roe started NSMotif with a desire and passion for improving the process and education of countertop selection, fabrication, and installation for customers who are often overwhelmed with such projects. Almost 10 years after our establishment in 2008, NSMotif has become one of the highest producing surfacing companies in Central Florida. Throughout the years we’ve has worked on thousands of retail jobs for homes in the Orlando area, as well as large commercial projects, with installations for Disney, Universal, and other prominent general contractors and home builders.

“NSMotif operates a fabrication shop that is technologically advanced which helps with our quality production efficiency and precision, and in turn, our customer satisfaction,” Karen expanded.

Our business stands out within a competitive industry that is male-dominated. An accredited member of the Marble Institute of America and an active member of their Women in Stone Council, Karen works hard to educate and inspire others. She is also a charter member of the Rockheads Group, an exclusive invitation-only group of leading stone fabrication businesses focused on raising fabrication standards and promoting industry best practices.
